( Back to Home Page )     (Inspirational Poems)

Greetings from North Bay!

I come from a catholic background and during my mid-teen years, I turned away from the Church.  I came back to God periodically during my life but wasn’t until I was introduced to the Church of Christ about 2 ½ years ago did I begin to understand and experience a true relationship with Jesus.

I started writing poetry about a week before my baptism, which was on April 7, 2002, and I’ve been writing ever since.

The things that I do write about come from my own experience, my joys, pain, doubts and fears.

My prayer is that these poems will be a comfort to you, as well as an inspiration and encouragement.  If you have any questions about my work or you simply need a friend I am here for you.

God Bless,

What kind of Friend –

I felt the hunger in His heart

And I began to cry

Then suddenly it came to me

What kind of friend am I?

I run to Him with every need

He never lets me down

But when He wants to spend some time

I’m nowhere to be found.

And every time that I deny

I even know His name

He always chooses to forget

I ever caused Him pain.

When I tell Him that I love Him

It means half-heartedly

What kind of friend who loves a friend

Would love so selfishly?

He only has but one request

A dwelling place in me

In every corner of my heart

Is where He longs to be.
